All I can say is wow. It's been a long weekend, but an absolutely incredible one. One for the books, for sure. Again, sorry for not posting for a while. When I go on my trips, I won't be able to blog about it until I return because I don't take my laptop with me when I travel! Also, school is getting pretty hectic with assignments and mid-terms coming up very shortly. I cannot believe how quickly the time is flying by here. I've been here for a month and a half now, and it feels like we just moved in last week. We've done so many remarkable things and have made countless memories already, with so many more left to come.
We took a train down to Sydney on Wednesday night, which is where we flew out of; stayed in a hostel overnight, woke up at 4:15am to go to the Sydney Airport and catch our 7:25am flight. The flight was 3 hours to Cairns, and we were all stoked. The most exciting part was knowing how many fun activities we had planned for the weekend, and to finally experience WARM WEATHER!!!! Cairns is located in Queensland, Australia which is the "tropic" region of Australia, where it is usually warm year-round. I'm residing in New South Wales, which is south of Queensland and much colder, so finally experiencing hot weather was really nice. We arrived on Thursday morning at 10:30am and had the entire day free, so we chose to lay by the pool at our hostel, and enjoy being in the sun.
